Retrieving His Master's Voice...

Pandit Vishnu Digambar Paluskar, maestro of Hindustani music, preserved and propogated the musical form. He was the composer and the voice behind the original version of the popular bhajan Raghupati Raghava Raja Ram. He had also significantly contributed towards India's national song, Vande Mataram.

Side one contains morning to noon melodies.They are featued in chronological sequence inwhich they are traditionaly sung. Ragas are LALAT, BIBHAS,BILASKHANI TODI, ASAWARI and GUOD SARANG
Equivalan Carnatic ragas are: SURYA LALIT, BIBHASA or BAULI, not known, NATABHAIRAVI, GOUD SSSARANG
Side two fetures ragas sung from late evening to midnight. Ragas are HAMEER, TILAK KAMOD, KEDAR, MIYAN KA MALHAR AND MALKAUNS.
Equivalan Carnatic ragas are: HAMEER KALYANI, NALINAKANTHI, not known, not known, HINDOLAM.
